Jack: Gets out of the car and knocks on Caleb's door -

Jack: Comes in and starts looking for him -

Jack: Caleb?

Caleb?

- looks in the kitchen -

Are you here?

- looks in his room -

Caleb?

- looks in the living room and finds him knocked out with an empty pill container on the table -

Jack:  No, no, no, no, - tries to wake him up -

Caleb, hey! Caleb, hey, come on! Wake up, son! Caleb!

Jack: puts him in the car and drives to his place -

Jack: Calls Doctor Sheldon -  Doctor Sheldon, this is Jack Sanders, um Caleb's father.

Jack: Listen, I'm afraid that Caleb might have gotten into

some of his mother's medication and I would like you

to take a look at him, because I'm afraid that he might have overdosed.

Jack:  I don't know what it was, but it was only supposed

to be one every four hours, and he took a whole lot more than that.

Jack:  If you don't mind it's kind of a sensitive issue. I'd like you to come to my house if you don't mind. Thank you.

Jack: They get home and the Doctor takes care of him -

Doctor:  Just pumped his stomach, He's doing fine, now.

Doctor:  Vitals are strong. He just needs to get some sleep.

Jack:  Doc, I found your cell number on that card in

his back pocket, so, can we just, keep this between

you and I?

(I think this is because he could have called the Doctor but he didn't so he could k*ll himself I'm not sure)

Doctor:  Yeah.

Doctor: He's been through a lot.

Doctor: I'm happy to have helped.

Jack:  He has, look, I can't… I can't thank

you enough. - gets money out of his pocket -

What--

Doctor: Looks at him - Take good care of your son - he doesn't take the money and walks away -

- The next day -

Caleb: Gets up slowly -

- rubs eyes -

- looks around the amazing looking mansion wondering where he's at -

- Runs to the bathroom and throws up -

- goes to the balcony and sees his Dad downstairs outside -

Jack:  Well good morning, sunshine. Or should I say good late afternoon?

Jack:  Look I got you a nice, well, now cold, greasy cheeseburger. Great for a hangover.

Jack:  Come on down, I'll stick it in the microwave.

Caleb: Goes downstairs -

Pt 3

- A few days later they have her funeral -

Pastor: For the bible tells us all, as being believers, that to be absent from this body means to be present from him.

Jack: What about your Mother's funeral?

Caleb: I, I can't keep pretending that your my father.

Or that my mom's gonna be home when I get there

She's dead.  And, and I can't stop thinking that If you were

there to help she wouldn't be.

Jack:  Okay you listen to me a second.

A lovely woman is dead, yes that's true, But I loved her too.

Caleb: interrupts - She deserves a lot more from you than "sorry." Jack.

Caleb:  I wish you two had never met. - walks away -

Jack: - stops him - Hey. Like it or not, I'm your father.

A father is someone who takes care of his family.

Skateboarder:  I don't know, he's somewhere, he's around, I don't know.

Caleb:  Well tell him I want my money back.

Skateboarder:  I don't even know why you're stressing,

you would have lost it anyways, so, just chill man.

- pushes Caleb and tries to punch him -

Caleb: - dodges it and punches him -

Tell Ryder, I'm gonna get my money back. - one of the skateboarders take him -

- Skateboarder punches him in the stomach -

Stupid dude: That's right, punk.

Caleb: gets up and skateboards home -

Caleb: Looks for his Mom's vodka -

Where'd you keep this at, Mom? - he says to himself -

Caleb: finds it -

Caleb: Gets his Mom's meds too -

Caleb: sits down and stares at the vodka and meds -

Caleb: Drinks the vodka and pops meds in his mouth several times, too much -

Caleb: - talks to the man upstairs -  Why would you do this to me? Did I do something to deserve this?

Jack: Drives to Caleb's house -

I want to die.

Caleb: Drinks more and takes more pills.  -

Caleb: Passes out -

Caleb: Walks in and stands there for a moment -

Jack: No change

Jack: I'm, I'm going to get some coffee. You want some coffee?

Jack: - looks at him - I'll get you a cup.

Caleb: I'll have a water

Jack: Coming right up. - Gets up and walks out of the room to get it -

Caleb: Sits next to Mom.

Caleb:  Mom, I am so sorry for everything. Everything - cries a little -

Caleb:  I know, I know that everything you did was, was to protect me.

Caleb:  I know that. I just,

Caleb: Cries - I just want you to wake up. Please? 

Caleb: Please wake up… Please forgive me?

- Hold her hand -

Doctor: Walks in -

Doctor: Check on her -

Jack: Walks in - I got you your water

Caleb: Thanks.. - Takes it -

Doctor: Caleb, Jack..

Doctor: Shakes his head - I'm sorry to say this but. She's gone

Caleb: Runs out -
